Tulsi- A Medicinal Plant

TULSI -A MEDICINAL PLANT Tulsi  or  Tulasi   ( Ocimum tenuiflorum ) or  Holy Basil  is a sacred plant in Hindu  belief. Hindus regard it as an earthly manifestation of the goddess Tulsi; she is regarded as a great worshipper of the god Vishnu . The offering of its leaves is mandatory in ritualistic worship of  Vithoba  and his forms like Krishna and  Vithoba . Tulsi must be grown by everyone at home. It is very good for human health. It is easy to grow and widely found in the Indian subcontinent. It has vast array of uses for a variety of purposes. It is a great nasal decongescent i.e. it helps relieve sore throat and cold. It is also digestive and helps in regulation of bowel movements.
